Former Bulls support John Hartson Foundation

Former Hereford United player Gareth Davies is growing a moustache in support of the John Hartson Foundation. He explains why.

Hi Bulls fans.

At the moment I am growing a mustache for the John Hartson Foundation to raise awareness for testicular cancer. We are running it in conjunction with MO-VEMBER which is a world wide charity event for the month of November.

Having played with John for Wales U21's it is an honour to support such a worthwhile charity.

Ex HUFC physio Simon Shakeshaft is a leading force behind this group having too experienced ill health in previous years and with his guidance I have joined forces with my local football team just over the border in GODS country, 'Rhosgoch FC' to join in this fun event.

I look like a cross between a 'Ginger Freddie Mercury' and a '70's Porn Star' not good either way!

I can't say that I have enjoyed having this growth of hair on my top lip, however the monies raised will go along way towards supporting and improving the awareness campaign targeted at men.

If anybody would be interested in making a donation then please do not hesitate in contacting me at: gmdavies66@yahoo.com

Gareth Davies, a defender born in Hereford who grew up just over the Welsh border, broke into the Hereford United first team in April 1992 and showed obvious skill. After three seasons at Edgar Street, he was sold in the summer of 1995 for £120,000 to Crystal Palace, and then had spells with Cardiff City, Reading and Swindon Town. Davies also gained caps for the Wales under-21 team.

However his career was cut short by injury.
